Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use donordriveparts.com.au or buy from us. Donor Drive Parts is a registered business, ABN 25 968 634 113, located in Rhodes, NSW, Australia ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. What we sell

We sell used electronic parts (hard drive PCBs, donor hard drives and SSDs) mainly for data recovery and repair. Parts are second-hand, have been removed from working devices and are tested before shipping. They are sold as individual items; the photo shows the exact item you will receive.

2. Compatibility is your responsibility

Product titles list the model, board number and other details we can read from the part. It is your responsibility to check that a part suits your device. Many drives need the original ROM/firmware chip transferred to the replacement PCB, which needs suitable skills and equipment. We do not give training, and any compatibility advice we give by email is a guide only.

3. Data and drive risk

Working on hard drives can cause further damage or permanent data loss. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data, or for damage to your drive or other equipment caused by installing or using a part. If your data is important, consider a professional data recovery service.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) unless your local currency is displayed, and include GST where it applies. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's payment processing. We may correct pricing or listing errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund.

5. Orders and stock

Most items are one-off. An order is accepted when we dispatch it. If an item turns out to be unavailable or faulty before dispatch, we will tell you and refund you in full.

6. Shipping, customs and taxes

We ship from Australia. Delivery times are estimates. International buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes and customs charges in their country. Our Shipping Policy has more detail.

7. Returns and replacements

Change-of-mind and wrong-part orders are not refundable. Parts that are faulty on arrival are replaced (or refunded if no replacement is available) under our Refund & Replacement Policy.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under that law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our liability is limited to replacing the part, or refunding the price paid for it.

9. Website use

You may not misuse the site, scrape it in bulk or copy our photos and listings without permission. Content on this site (photos, descriptions) belongs to Donor Drive Parts.

10. Privacy

We handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on the site when you place an order applies to that order.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
